It was wonderful to gather with our faithful Franklin County givers at Hawks & Reed on March 19! It’s starting to feel like a roomful of friends – thanks for starting our third year out so strong!
As always, we learned so much about non-profits in Franklin County. First up was Heath Agricultural Society, which supports the Heath fair, a revered, old-timey New England tradition. Next up was Just Roots, a farm that, among other vital services, is making fresh food accessible to low-income families. And last but not least, we heard from Root Studio, a new non-profit in Turners Falls that’s doing up-close and personal work with at-risk teen girls. The voting was close, but we chose Root Studio for our collective gift. Congratulations, Andrea! We’re wishing you well as you expand your space and services for girls in Turners.
We raised $1840.00 for Root Studio! That brings our total giving to Franklin County over the past two years to around $9500. Thank you, thank you, dear 100 Who Carers – you are making a big difference with your collective gift.
Thanks also to Franklin First Federal Credit Union for generously sponsoring our beautiful space at Hawks & Reed!
