We had a smaller-than-usual but upbeat crowd last week at our June event at Hawks & Reed (our 8th event!). The nominees drawn from the hat were Community Network for Children Program, Greening Greenfield, and It Takes a Village. It was interesting to hear from two organizations that are doing such good things for families and children in Franklin County, and Greening Greenfield is doing great work to build sustainability. The voting was close (I know, we always say this, but it’s true!), and all three are deserving, but our collective gift went to It Takes a Village. Yay!!!! They offer free postpartum support to families with infants and young children. Congratulations, and thanks for doing this important work for our community!!!
Our grand total donated to It Takes A Village is $1,798!!!! We’re looking forward to hearing how the money is being used at our next event on September 17!
